Membership Information
CIME offers a progressive professional membership structure designed to recognize entrepreneurs, business professionals, and management leaders at different stages of their professional journey. Members are entitled to use the professional designations ACIME, MCIME, and FCIME.
Associate Membership
(ACIME)
This membership grade is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, emerging business professionals, and individuals who have established a strong foundation in business, management, or entrepreneurship.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy ONE of the following:
Route 1 (Entrepreneur Pathway):
Successfully complete CIME examinations and possess a registered business or entrepreneurial venture operational for a minimum of two (2) years.
Route 2 (Professional Pathway):
Possess a recognized Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree, or recognized professional qualifications in Business or a related field together with a minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience.
Route 3(Entrepreneurial / Managerial Experience Pathway)
Possession of a minimum of three (3) years of practical experience as a business owner, entrepreneur, or manager.
Full Membership
(MCIME)
This membership grade recognizes established professionals and business owners who have demonstrated the ability to sustain and grow an enterprise.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy ONE of the following:
Route 1 (Entrepreneur Pathway):
Successfully complete CIME examinations and possess a registered business operational for a minimum of five (5) years.
Route 2 (Membership Progression):
Complete a minimum of three (3) years following the attainment of Associate Membership (ACIME).
Route 3 (Professional Fast-Track Pathway):
Possess a recognized Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree, or recognized professional qualifications in Business or a related field together with a minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience.
Route 4 (Senior Entrepreneur / Managerial Pathway)
Possession of a minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as the owner of a properly registered business (Business Registration – BR);
OR
Completion of a minimum of five (5) years of service in a middle or senior managerial position within a recognized organization.
Fellow Membership
(FCIME)
The highest grade of membership awarded to distinguished entrepreneurs, senior business leaders, and experienced professionals who have demonstrated long-term leadership and professional excellence.
Eligibility Criteria.
Applicants must satisfy ONE of the following:
Route 1 (Membership Progression):
Complete a minimum of five (5) years following the attainment of Full Membership (MCIME).
Route 2 (Senior Entrepreneur
Pathway):
Possession of a minimum of ten (10) of experience as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Director, Founder, business owner, or senior business leader of a medium or large-scale business organization. Applicants applying as Founders or Business Owners should possess a legally registered and tax-compliant business entity together with demonstrated contribution towards business growth, entrepreneurship, employment generation, and organizational development.
Route 3 (Reciprocal Recognition):
Hold Fellow Membership status in another recognized professional body.

How to Register
CIME offers a simple and professional membership registration process designed for entrepreneurs, business professionals, and future leaders.
Step 1 Document Preparation:
Prepare the required documents including Business Registration (BR) certificates, academic transcripts, professional qualification certificates, and an updated CV.
Step 2 Online Application:
Submit the completed membership application form together with the required supporting documents through the official CIME platform.
Step 3 Membership Review:
The CIME Membership Committee will review and verify the submitted academic, professional, and business-related qualifications.
Step 4 Professional Interview:
Applicants applying for ACIME, MCIME, and FCIME memberships may be required to participate in a professional interview conducted by the CIME Membership Committee as part of the membership evaluation process.
Step 5 Membership Confirmation:
Upon approval and payment of the relevant membership fees, applicants will receive their official CIME membership certificate, designation, and membership credentials.

Membership Renewal
To maintain the prestige and active status of the Chartered designations, members must renew their status annually.
Annual Subscription
Payment of the standard annual membership fee.
Active Status Declaration
A simple self-declaration that the member's business remains operational, or they remain employed in a professional managerial capacity.
Ethical Compliance
Reaffirming adherence to the CIME Code of Professional Conduct and Business Ethics.
CPD Submission
Submission of the annual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) log to ensure members stay updated with modern business trends.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
In order to maintain active membership status and uphold the professional standards of the Chartered Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (CIME), all members are required to participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities annually.
CPD Requirements

Every member is required to complete a minimum of 15–20 CPD hours annually as part of the annual membership renewal process.

CPD activities are designed to ensure that members continuously enhance their professional knowledge, leadership capabilities, entrepreneurial skills, and business competencies in line with modern industry developments and global professional standards.
CPD Activities May Include

Participation in CIME workshops, seminars, leadership forums, and professional development programme.

Participation in local or international conferences, business summits, and professional events.Publication of business articles, research papers, professional publications, or entrepreneurship-related content.

Providing mentorship, guidance, coaching, or entrepreneurial support to startups, young entrepreneurs, or developing professionals.

Failure to comply with the minimum CPD requirements may affect annual membership renewal and active membership status within the Institute.

Suspension and Termination of Membership
The Chartered Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (CIME) reserves the right to suspend the membership of any member who fails to comply with the professional standards, ethical requirements, rules, regulations, or membership obligations of the Institute.
Membership may be suspended under the following circumstances:

Failure to comply with annual membership renewal requirements.

Violation of the CIME Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

Misuse of CIME professional designations, membership credentials, or Institute recognition.

Engagement in unethical, misleading, or professionally unacceptable conduct.

Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information to the Institute.

Conduct that may negatively affect the reputation, credibility, integrity, or professional standing of CIME.
Important Notice

Members under suspension shall not be entitled to use the professional designations ACIME, MCIME, or FCIME during the period of suspension.

Suspended members may be required to fulfill compliance requirements, disciplinary recommendations, or professional obligations determined by the Institute before reinstatement of membership.
The Membership Committee of CIME shall review such matters and make decisions in accordance with the policies and professional standards of the Institute.
